Harvey Nels Hansen, age 83 of Oshkosh, passed away on Friday, March 24, 2017 at Bethel Home surrounded by his family. He was born on July 11, 1933 and grew up in Pewaukee, the son of the late John and Evelyn (Kolo) Hansen. He graduated with the class of 1951 from Pewaukee High School. Harvey was drafted into the US Army from 1953 to 1955. He met the love of his life JoAnn Breivogel and was married September 12, 1959 and then moved to Two Rivers. Harvey worked at Mirro Alluminum as a senior buyer for over 20 years. He was a member of the Lions Club for over 50 years. He served as club president, secretary, zone chair, region chair and district pin chair. Harvey was an avid coin collector, and enjoyed woodworking, camping and traveling with his family. He always treasured the time he spent with his grandchildren and family.Harvey is survived by his wife, JoAnn, two sons, Steven (Sharon) Hansen of Oshkosh, Craig (Connie) Hansen of Denmark; two grandchildren: Christopher (Alicia Keck) and Kylie Hansen of Oshkosh; and one step-granddaughter, Bobbi Jo (Tony) Fischer of Wautoma and their children: Kyle and Owen; two brothers, Nels (Sue) Hansen of Hubertus and Joe (Kathi) Hansen of Spencer; one sister, Mary (Richard) Harnek of Chetek and two sisters-in-law, Fern Hansen of Chetek and Dani Hansen of Kaukauna; one brother-in-law, Allen Breivogel. He is further survived by many friends and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers: Bill, Robert and John; one sister-in-law, Judy Hansen; and daughter-in-law, Patricia Hansen.A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 pm Noon, on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 338 North Eagle Street, with Pastor John Seelman officiating. Friends and family may visit at the church from 10:00 am until the time of service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Wisconsin Lions Camp.The family wishes to extend a thank you to Heartland Hospice, Bethel Home and Pastor Seelman for all their care, comfort and support that was given to Harvey. Your kindness will never be forgotten.
