Hazel Ann (Conner) Thacher, age 74, of Sigel, PA, passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2016, at the Penn Highlands Brookville Hospital. She was born on May 26, 1941, in Saxonburg, PA, to the late Matthew and Velma (Putt) Conner. On March 16, 1963, she married Charles W. Thacher in Belltown, PA; Charles survives her. In her working years she was a Tax Collector for Millstone Township. She is a member of the Donahey United Methodist Church, and has been for over 53 years. She loved to make crafts and would spend hours working on needle-point projects and crocheting. She collected bell's, and she had over 500 of them on display around the house. Hazel loved to be at home, and would be considered a homebody. More than anything though, she loved her grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she is survived by 3 daughters, Brenda Hetrick, Barbara (Andy Deklevar) Armstrong, and Lori (Chuck) Glass; 2 sisters; 3 brothers; 6 grandchildren, Sabrina (Rusty) Guzik, Charles Armstrong, Dawn Hetrick, Rikki Hetrick, Tala Boozer, and Jessica Manzo; with 1 great-grandchild on the way who will be named Sierra Rose Guzik. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her step-father, Edward Stankovich; 2 brothers; and 2 sisters. Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, March 8, 2016, from 2-4pm and 6-8pm, at the McKinney - d'Argy Funeral Home, 345 Main St., Brookville, PA, 15825. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 9, 2016, also at the McKinney - d'Argy Funeral Home, beginning at 10am and officiated by Pastor Randy Hall.
