Hazel Thompson, 92SELMA - Hazel Thompson, 92, passed away Wednesday morning, November 16, 2016 at her residence.She was born on March 31, 1924 in Muncie the daughter of L. J. And Muriel (O'Donnell) McFadden and graduated from Yorktown High School.Mrs. Thompson was a member of Selma Christ United Methodist Church, National Gourd Society, Indiana Gourd Society, Garden Club of Indiana, Muncie Friendly Steppers Square Dance Club, and the Selma American Legion Post #437 Auxiliary. She was also an avid bowler. Surviving are her daughter, Rita Parsons, Selma; four grandchildren, Stacy Strauss, Perry, OH, Brian Parsons (Amy), Twinsburg, OH, Mike Weist (Kristy), Muncie, and Mindy Weist, Muncie; two sisters, Mary Bricker (Roy), Hartford City and Sharon Cain, Anderson; and several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard K. Thompson; three children, Sheila Thompson, Maureen Weist, and Terry Thompson; and a brother, Morris McFadden.Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel with Rev. Dennis Rush officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery.Friends may call at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday or one hour prior to services on Saturday.Memorials may be directed to Selma Christ United Methodist Church, 9805 E.
