Hazel Warren SappHazel Warren Sapp, 104, of Springfield, passed away on March 21, 2017 at The Baptist Home in Ozark, MO. She was born on May 4, 1912 to Jesse M. and Florence (Higgs) Warren.She was united in marriage to Virgil N. Sapp on April 6, 1935. They enjoyed 66 years of life together. Hazel devoted her life to her husband, children, and God. Her loving care was showered on anyone in need. In addition to her family, she enjoyed serving as a Pink Lady for 12 years at MO Baptist Hospital while residing in St. Louis. While living in Carthage she was involved as a teacher in Sunday School, an officer in PTA where her children attended school, and assisting in Scouts and 4-H Club. She was a Lifetime Member in MO Federated Garden Clubs and a Lifetime Member of MO Baptist Hospital Auxiliary in St. Louis. She was also a member of University Heights Baptist ChurchShe was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother Lawton A. Warren of Wheaton, MO, and sister Hester Gibson of Springfield, MO. She is survived by her daughter Virginia Planchon and husband Dr. Peter of Idaho Falls, ID, son Dr. Warren N. Sapp and wife Betty of Columbia, MO, four grandchildren, and two great grandsons.Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 2:00 pm at The Baptist Home in Ozark, MO. A visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until the time of service. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to University Heights Baptist Church, 1010 S. National Ave, Springfield, MO 65804.
