Heather Rose Marie Elliott Waggy, 64, of Woodbridge, Virginia, passed away on September 05, 2023 at Sentera Northern Virginia Medical Center in Woodbridge. Heather was born on May 26, 1959 in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada to George "Red" Ronald and Laura "Peggy" Christina (O'Neil) Elliott.

She was proceeded in death by her mother and father as well as her fiancée James "Jimmy" Fortney.

Heather was survived by her 3 daughters, Shannon Lea Waggy, Kelly Rose Bovell (Baxton Browning) and Jessica "Jessie" Cheyenne Waggy; her honorary children, Elizabeth "Lizzy", Emily "Em", Chelsea, Amanda D. and Amanda K.; honorary sister Robin Blankenship-King and her sons Myles and Troy; her brother Howard "How" Elliott, his wife and their two children Dawn and Sam; grandchildren, Daniel Elvis, Sophia Rose, Elora Reign, Landyn Elliott, Levi Alexander, Tyler Michael, Mackenzie "Sage Nichole, and Carolyn Riley.

She was also survived by many honorary children and family who she loved and cared for deeply. Heather was the "cool mom" who took anyone who needed it under her wing. She was always blunt with her words but giving with her love.

The family would like to thank the staff at Direct Cremation services of Virginia for all of their compassion and care of Heather as well as both of her parents after their passing.

Heather did not want a funeral or "anything funeral like" so to honor her request, we are having an informal end of life celebration Friday, October 6th. We will be gathering at The Harbour Grille at 13188 Marina Way, Woodbridge from 8pm-11pm. Please come and raise a glass waterside to celebrate Heather.
