Helen Louise Champagne Bahm, 51, of Loranger passed away, Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012, at North Oaks Medical Center.Friends will be received from 6 until 9 p.m. Friday at Harry McKneely and Son Funeral Home in Hammond. Visitation will also be from 8 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at the funeral home. Funeral services will at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with burial in the Bahm Cemetery in Loranger.She is survived by her husband, Steve Bahm; son, Brandon Champagne; daughter and son-in-law, Brandy and Mathew King; granddaughters, Juliana Champagne and Briella Champagne; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bobby and Dianne Champagne, Nobby and Kathaleen Champagne, and Jerry and Diane Champagne; sisters and brothers-in-law, Joyce and Lynn Duet, Bonnie and Andrew Hohensee, Peggy and Donald Brown, Ruby and David Plaisance and Irene and Bobby Adams.She was preceded in death by a sister, Gloria Adams.She was born on Monday, Sept. 25, 1961, in Thibodaux, daughter of the late Alcide Valentin Champagne and the late Juliette Boudreaux Champagne.She received a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Education from Southeastern Louisiana University.She was a teacher at Martha Vinyard Elementary School in Ponchatoula.Harry McKneely and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
