WILLIAMSBURG - Helen Graves Wynne, was born on February 21, 1930, to the late James and Lelia Graves, in James City County, Virginia. She departed this life on Friday, October 21, 2016, in the Hospice House of Williamsburg. Helen attended Bruton Heights School. During Helen's youth, she joined St. John Baptist Church, Toano, Virginia. Later in life, she joined in fellowship with Shiloh Baptist Church, Croaker, Virginia. She was a faithful Christian and served on the Senior Usher Board, Pastor's Aide Committee and the Pulpit Beautification Committee. She was married to the late Delbert "Delly" Wynne. Unto this union, they were blessed with two children, Warren O. Wynne and Deborah Wynne Vaughan. In 1999, she joined in Holy Matrimony with Walter A. Dandridge. Helen retired from Eastern State Hospital, as a Psychiatric Charge Aide, after 32 years of dedicated service. Helen is survived by her husband of 17 years, Walter A. Dandridge; her children, Warren Wynne (Mabel), Deborah Wynne Vaughan, all of Williamsburg, Virginia, Walter Dandridge, Jr., (Pamela), of Alexandria, Virginia, Mira Dandridge Malden, of Massachusetts, Nelda Felt (Dudley), of Trumbull, Connecticut and Paula Dandridge, of Spring, Texas; her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great- great-grandchildren; a host of loving nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and many caring friends. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 27, 2016, in Shiloh Baptist Church, 8581 Croaker Road, Williamsburg, Virginia. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Family and friends will assemble at the church by 10:30 a.m. on Thursday. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., on Wednesday, October 26, 2016, in the funeral home.
