Helen S. HueyZANESVILLE: Helen S. Huey, 88 of Nashport died at 8:22 AM Friday Oct. 7, 2016 at her residence surrounded by her family and under the loving care of Hospice of Central Ohio.She was born on July 21, 1928 in Zanesville the daughter of Friedrich Schneider and Maria Kneule Schneider.Helen graduated from Lash High School in 1946. She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church and had retired in 1979 as an assistant manager for Ohio Bell after 30 1/2 years of service. She enjoyed nature, being outside and especially enjoyed bird watching. She is survived by a daughter, Lisa K. (Michael) Havens of Nashport; 2 granddaughters, Corissa "Corrie" (Keith) Fulton and Maria (Mike) Johnson; 5 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Helen was preceded in death in addition to her parents, by her husband of 69 years, Harry E. Huey Jr.; her brothers & sisters, Gustav Schneider, Frances Neudecker, Bertha Lachenmayr, Anne Dalton and Marie Neithammer; also one sister & three brothers who died at an early age while still in Germany. Friends may call one hour prior to service which will be held at 12 Noon on Wednesday October 15, 2016 at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church. Burial will follow at the Greenwood Cemetery.Memorial contributions can be made to the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church or to the Hospice of Central Ohio, 2269 Cherry Valley Rd.
