Helen M. JuzystaJeddoHelen M. Juzysta, age 87, of Jeddo, passed away on November 26, 2016.  She was born on January 19, 1929, to the late Leland and Myrtle Sheldon.  She married Lewis Juzysta in 1948 and together they purchased a farm in Jeddo.  She was a lifelong Jeddo resident.  Later she worked for the U.S. Postal Service as a carrier and Assistant Postmaster in Croswell.  She retired after 34 years of service.  Helen loved gardening, she was a wonderful cook and dessert baker.  She was an avid baseball fan, following the Detroit Tigers, through thick and thin.  In retirement, Helen loved spending time at the local ball fields, watching her grandsons play baseball and softball.  Players knew her for the fresh baked brownies, she would often bring to their games.Helen is survived by her daughter, Sandra (John) Schneider of Port Huron, two grandsons; Matthew Schneider and Bradley Schneider both of Port Huron, sisters; Jean Gassel of Livonia, Ginny Campbell of Jeddo, Karen Schieman of Port Huron, Sharon (Dave) Hamel of Idaho and Lois Calloway of Skidway Lake, Michigan, brothers; Ed Sheldon of Marysville, and George Sheldon of Fort Gratiot.She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis in 2011, son, Brian in 1970 and sister, Myrtle (Pal) Sheldon-Dane in 2009.A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 11:30am in the Jowett Funeral Home - 1634 Lapeer Avenue, Port Huron.  Reverend Max Amstutz will officiate.  Visiting will be from 9:30am until time of service at 11:30am.  There will be a luncheon following the service in the Jowett Funeral Home Reception Center. Memorial tributes can be made to the Salvation Army or the Blue Water Area Humane Society.View obituary and share memories at www.jowettfuneraldirectors.com
