Helen Leona Rizzo, age 85, of Crestwood Circle in Brookville, passed away peacefully in her home on Thursday, May 18, 2017. Helen was born on August 26, 1931 in DuBois to the late Charles Lawrence and Mabel Helena (Ziegler) Fuller. Helen married Donald V. Rizzo on January 24, 1981 in Brookville. Donald preceded her in passing on July 1, 1998. Helen attended the Port Barnett School and later she spent most of her working life in jobs of hospitality. These traits of wanting others to feel served and welcomed also carried over into her home life; it was not uncommon for many people to be in her home with her drinking coffee and laughing together. She had her core group of 4 - 5 people that would sit around her kitchen table and just enjoy each other's company. She was a good home maker who really enjoyed cooking and baking. There was always room for one more at her table. She looked forward to Christmas every year because it afforded her the opportunity to bake platters of homemade goodies that she would give to her children and friends. Helen was a loving person and her family and friends will deeply miss her. Helen is survived by: 1 son, Greg Becker of Brookville; 5 daughters; Cherie (Wilson) Kramer of Jacksonville, FL, Candy Stitt (Bill Wolfe) of Strattenville, Pam Becker of Reynoldsville, Jean Ann Becker of Brookville, Kitty Becker of Brookville; 3 step-sons; Steve Rizzo of Springfield, VT, Jeff Rizzo of Brookville, Tony Rizzo of Winsor, VT; 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
