Helen Louise Smith Holt, age 91, of Marietta, GA., passed away Saturday, Dec. 10, 2016. Memorial service: 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home, 2950 North Cobb Parkway, Kennesaw, Ga.. Visitation: 2 p.m. Saturday Dec. 17 before service. http://give.sherpherd.org or to the charity that is close to your heart. Helen was born on Jan. 24, 1925, in Oklahoma City, Okla., the daughter of the late Clarence Ray Smith and Hattie Pierce Smith. She grew up in Fort Worth, and it was there she met and married the love of her life, Charles Melvin Holt. They lived in Haltom City and Mabank, until 1992, when they moved to Georgia. Helen liked to travel, to do volunteer work at hospitals and always enjoyed a good card game. She was preceded in death by her husband; her granddaughter, Jennifer Holt; her brother, Ralph Ray Smith and her sister Cleo Smith. Survivors: She is survived by her son, Stanley Holt and his wife, Janet of Omaha, Neb.; daughter, Barbara Felton and her husband, David of Marietta, Ga.; grandsons, Josh Holt and wife, Rebecca of Omaha; Tim Felton and wife, Amy of Avon, Colo., Luke Holt of Omaha, Patrick Felton and Sienna Curry of Salt Lake City, UT.
