Helen P. WagonerAge: 86 • Waynesboro, VAHelen Rosetta Pullins Whitmire Wagoner, 86, of Waynesboro, passed away on August 2, 2017 at Augusta Health. She was born on April 3, 1931 in Augusta County and was the daughter of the late Roy Pullins and Edith Pickering Pullins. Helen graduated from Broadway High School in 1949. She was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church. She loved children and to bake and was a seamstress. She enjoyed picnics and being outdoors. She is survived by three daughters, Dolores Ann Whitmire Spahr of Redmond, WA, Rosemary Wagoner and Leslie Wagoner both of Waynesboro; two grandsons, David K. Spahr, III, and his wife, Lorna, of Redmond, WA, Jacquez "Jac" W. Bridges of Waynesboro; a great-granddaughter, Sophia Spahr of Redmond, WA; a sister, Alma Spitzer of Harrisonburg; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands, David Whitmire, Jr. and William M. Wagoner, Jr.; two sisters, Doris Pullins Myers and Virginia Pullins Alexander. The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 pm, Sunday, August 6, 2017 at Bethany United Methodist Church. A funeral service will be held 11:00 am, Monday, August 7, 2017 at the church with Pastor John Lock officiating. Burial will follow at Naked Creek Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Bethany United Methodist Church, 3700 Lee Hwy., Weyers Cave, VA, 24486, in her memory.
