Helen Marie ShiversZANESVILLE: Helen Marie Shivers, 96 of Zanesville went to be with Jesus and her family that had gone before her at 10:12 AM Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at the Willow Haven Care Center.She was born on March 10, 1920 in Frazeysburg, Ohio the daughter of Ray and Mary Keats Bush.Helen was a homemaker and a member of Gratiot United Methodist Church where she was very active and belonged to the Sunshine Class & the Esther Circle. She is survived her three children; James (Sandra) Shivers of Fuquay Varina, NC, John R. Shivers of Zanesville and Mary (Michael) Pipes of Glenford; grandchildren; Kelly (Barry) Crossett, Matthew R. Shivers and Latisha Pipes; Great Grandchildren, Sarah Crossett, James Crossett, Cosette Shivers and Mia Shivers. Helen was preceded in death in addition to her parents by her husband, Virgil "Shivo the Clown" C. Shivers who died June 23, 2002, a grandson, Jarrod Pipes; two sisters, Alice June Buller and Harriet Boney.Friends may call 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday November 18, 2016 at the Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home and one hour prior to service at the church. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at the Gratiot United Methodist Church with Rev. Matthew Blau officiating. Burial will conclude at the Poplar Forks Cemetery, Gratiot.Memorial contributions can be made to the Gratiot United Methodist Church.
