Helen T. (nee Neidhart) DoyleHelen T. (nee Neidhart) Doyle, passed away peacefully on May 1, 2017 in the Veteran's Home in Paramus, NJ at the age of 93. Helen was born on October 25, 1924 in New York. She was married for 64 years to her loving husband, Jim, who preceded her in death. She and Jim raised their family in Township Of Washington, NJ. She is survived by her children Kathleen Shapiro (Art), Jim Doyle (Joan), John Doyle (Erma), and Tom Doyle (Mary). She was a proud grandmother to Brett Shapiro (Nicole), Erik Shapiro (Maylin), Craig Shapiro (Kyrie), Justin Doyle (Sonia Wadhwani), James Doyle, Michael Doyle (Nicole), Brian Doyle (Ashley), John Doyle, and Loretta Doyle. She was also a proud "GG Helen" to six great grandchildren.Helen graduated from the College of New Rochelle in 1945 and became a certified teacher in New Jersey. As a gifted elementary school teacher, she could captivate a room full of children, enriching her lessons with fun and creativity. She was especially adept at calming even the child who learned a different way. From an early age, Helen enjoyed dancing. Her eyes sparkled and her body moved to the sound of music. Dancing, she drew others to her, with the power of her joy. She loved sitting on the balcony of her Pocono home, enjoying the wooded view and her family. Her feelings for family were strong and enduring, filled with laughter, stories, and cheering. Helen will be missed by her family, but we will always see her smile, lighting up her face with love.The family will receive guests at Becker Funeral home, 219 Kinderkamack Rd, Westwood, NJ on Friday, May 12th from 3:30-7:30 PM. A mass celebrating Helen's life and faith will be held on Saturday, May 13th at 9:30 AM at Our Lady of Good Counsel R.C. Church in Township Of Washington, NJ, with interment at Gate Of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne, NY to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Our Lady Of Good Counsel R.C.
