Heloise Pellegrin Brien, 86, a native of Houma, and a resident of Spring, Texas, passed away peacefully from natural causes on Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2012.A private interment was held for the family.She is survived by her son, Barry J. Brien and wife, Linda; daughter, Jean B. Weiss and husband, Tim; seven grandchildren, Betsy Brien, David Brien and wife, Jan, Melissa Newbould and husband, Arthur, Robert Roper and wife, Darla, Rebecca Ware and husband, Brandon, Matt Weiss and wife, Rhea, and Cassidy Weiss; eight great-grandchildren, Abby and Josh Brien, David King, Mason and Blake Newbould, Brynn Roper, Ethan Ware and Emeline Weiss; and one sister, Barbara P. Johnson of Maryville, Tenn.She was preceded in death by her daughter, Constance "Connie" B. Sawyer in May, 2012; and her former husband, Eugene Brien Jr. in Sept., 2004.She was born on Dec. 31, 1925 to Millard and Stella Chauvin Pellegrin of Houma. She graduated from Terrebonne High School in 1942 and was a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Cathedral.She made Houma her home for over 60 years.
