Henri RevelNaples, FLHenri Revel, born Henry Revellino of Toulón, France died on April 8, 2017 at North Collier Hospital in Naples, FL. Henri was the youngest of eight children, and was born on April 24, 1945 to Marius Michel Antoine Revellino and Saveria Sambiase. Henry grew up in Toulón, France and often laughed about how he enjoyed running around the city with friends getting into mischief. He spent a lot of his time roller skating, playing jacks, avoiding school, eating delicious food, and visiting his sister Juliette and her family in the mountains. Henry served in the French Army as a driving instructor, but his enlistment was cut short due to a temporary medical issue. Henry Revellino moved to the United States in 1965, following the migration of several of his older siblings, and changed his name to Henri Revel. He quickly learned English as he worked hard in country clubs and restaurants to support himself. Henri loved to travel, and along the way he never met a stranger. He quickly learned English working joyfully and diligently, in country clubs and restaurants. Henri was married to Liana (Oei) Revel in Greenwich, CT where they raised their five children until later moving to Naples, FL. Henri worked very hard to support his family financially, while Liana dedicated herself teaching and caring for their children. As a loving husband, Henri often expressed how Liana was a "wonderful mother."Henri's greatest love was his family. As some have said, "He lived for his children." Henri beamed with pride as each of his five children accomplished goals in school, sports, music, and their careers. He loved to brag about his late wife, his sons, his daughters, his son-in-laws, his amazing grandson, and more recently, his precocious granddaughters. What brought him unending joy and loads of laughter was seeing his family members happy. Henri appreciated great food with a nice glass of wine, and wonderful company. Spending time with people energized him, and he always made people feel at home, whether he knew them or not. His laughter and jovial spirit brightened up any space, while his competitive side was seen on the tennis court several nights a week. Henri is survived by five of his siblings, Marc Revelon, Robert Revellino, Juliette Pons, Renee Revel, and Jeanine Lambert. His five children, Christopher Enos, Alexis Revel, Leila Revel, Marlo Winstead, and Kiley Revel mourn his loss, and his three grandchildren Colin Enos, Saveria Winstead, and Dylan Peterson miss him greatly. All are invited to a brief memorial and spreading of Henri's ashes on October 21st at 4:30pm at Veterans Memorial Park on Immokalee Road.
