Henry C. (Güero) Anaya passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2011. A native of Yuma, he was born on March 18, 1926. He served on the USS Concord during
World War II, and in 1947 he married Celia Wong. They went on to own and operate Daily Market. He retired in 1979 and spent his free time with his grandchildren and pets that he loved dearly. Güero is survived by his wife of 65 years, Celia; children, Phil (Donna) Anaya, Jocelyn (David) Nebeker, Angela Sellers and Si Sellers, whom he loved as one of his own; grandchildren, Steve Anaya, Ryan Nebeker, Christina (Mark) Laufer, Marissa Urias, Jacob Urias, and three great-grandchildren, Brandon, Logan and Savanah Anaya. He is also survived by siblings, Frank Anaya, Ismael Anaya, Johnny Anaya, Celia Carlon, and Cecelia Santa Cruz and many nieces and nephews. A private service was held.
