LAURINBURG — Henry Edward "Ed" Caison, Jr., 66, passed away at his home on Oct. 5, 2013.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Oct. 8 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel officiated by Dr. Jeffrey McGirt. Burial with military honors will follow at Hillside Memorial Park.
Ed was born on Aug. 21, 1947 in Marlboro County, S.C., son of the late Henry Edward Caison, Sr., and Sara Stevens Caison. He was a proud United States Navy veteran, retiring after 22 years of dedicated service to his country. He then worked and retired from Rockwell (Meritor). He attended the East Laurinburg Church of God and was an avid NASCAR fan. Ed loved spending time with his family and going to McDonalds to meet with his buddies.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 35 years Ellen McCoy Caison of the home, his daughter Shelley C. Brigman and husband Scott of Hamlet, stepson Mark Dunn of Wilmington, Del., three grandchildren: Hailey T. Ledwell, Nathan Brigman, and Paisley Dunn, and great-grandchild Draylin Thomas.
The family requests that memorial donations be made in Ed's memory to the Victory Junction Gang Camp, 4500 Adam's Way, Randleman, NC 27317.
