Henry Krueger Jr., age 97, passed away on November 2, 2016 at Aurora Medical Center. Henry was born on November 28, 1918 to the late Henry and Ella (Kuschel) Krueger in the Town of Matteson. Henry married Pearl Zwicky on September 27, 1940 in Van Dyne. Together they had two children and spent 59 loving years together until her death in 2000. After serving in the National Guard from 1938 to 1939 Henry joined the U.S.
Army in 1943 and served his country until 1945. Henry worked at various places throughout his life, most notably Arrowhead Conveyer where he was a Superintendent. Henry was an avid member at Martin Luther Lutheran Church. He was part of the Martin Luther Church men's club, choir, council and Sunday school. He was the secretary and treasurer for the A.A.L Branch 2242.Henry is survived by his two daughters, Dawn (Jerald) Keup, and Holly Krueger, PhD; grandchildren, Randy (Eva) Thurman-Keup, and Steve Keup; great-grandchildren, Ryan, Emma, Maeve, Henry Thurman-Keup; and sister Marcella Stratton.Henry was preceded in death by his sisters, Margaret and Gertrude; brothers, Martin, Arthur, Albert and Clarence. Half brothers, Waldemer and DuWayne.Services for Henry will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Martin Luther Church. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Pastor Berg will be officiating.
