Henry Lucien Serpas, III, age 66 passed away on November 10, 2016 at his home in Mandeville. Hank was born on July 20, 1950 in San Antonio, Texas. He is preceded in death by his father Henry Serpas, his sisters Karen Serpas and Lisa Serpas. He is survived by his wife Emily Meric Serpas, his mother Annabelle Galle Serpas, his children Emily Sellers Serpas and Henry Lucien Serpas, IV, his siblings Suzanne Serpas Decker, Denise Serpas Mott and Stewart James Serpas. After graduating from Southwestern Louisiana and receiving his Bachelors in Fine Arts, Hank embarked on an extended trip through Europe and Africa. During this time he worked in Greece and Kenya. He traveled the seas as a researcher aboard a ship of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. He also enjoyed travels to Canada and Central America as well as throughout the United States. In addition to a successful career in the Petroleum Services Industry, Hank like his father was a talented artist and an expert fisherman. As a kind and loving husband and father and an intelligent and generous friend he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Mass at St. Pius X Church, 6666 Spanish Fort Blvd., New Orleans on Friday, November 18, 2016 at 1:00p.m. Visitation will begin at 12:30p.m. Private interment in St. Louis #3 Cemetery.
