Henry "Bubba" Conrad Meyer, III left us on Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2016, on his final journey to live forever with Jesus and in our hearts. Funeral: 2 p.m. Friday, at Saint Bartholomew Catholic Church, 3601 Altamesa, Fort Worth, 76133. Burial: to follow services at Laurel Land Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 7100 Crowley Road, Fort Worth, 76134. Reception and fellowship to follow at approximately 4 p.m. at Saint Bartholomew Catholic Church. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Henry's name to The or The Humane Society of North Texas. Henry was born on March 10, 1938, in Sweetwater, to Henry Conrad Meyer, Jr. and Mary Frances Coffey. He graduated from Sweetwater High School, received his BA from Texas Christian University, and JD from the
University of Texas at Austin. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Bubba excelled in collegiate golf as well as football. Playing end for the TCU Horned Frogs, he was nominated team Captain and All American. Henry excelled at sports, and loved flying his plane, skydiving, marathon running, skiing, camping, motorcycle riding, and dogs. The family would like to thank the staff at the Emery J. Lilge Hospice House at Huguley Hospital for their compassion and care in Henry's final days. Survivors: He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Nancy; sister, Gayle Corkery; daughters, Cynthia Meyer and Stacey Bowman; son, Scott Meyer; nephew, Paul Corkery III; stepdaughters, Nancy Sobczak and Bonnie Gilliam; grandchildren, Kristina, Johnathan, Andrew, John Robert, Brigid, James Henry, Tiffany, Sara, Tabitha, and Tyler; and great-grandchildren.
