Herbert McGee, Sr. was born on May 12, 1932 to the late Anderson, Sr. and Mamie McGee Booth. He departed this life on Friday January 27, 2017 in Decatur, AL. Mr. McGee was an Army Veteran and retired from the US Postal Service. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Gloria; four sons, Herbert, Jr., Maurice (Vicki) and Malcolm (Nita) McGee and Robert Dukes; four daughters, Stanislaus McGee Butler ( Lawrence), Terri McGee Lee (Henry), Krystal and Courtney McGee; two brothers, Robert and Anthony Booth; one sister, Dorothy Booth McGee (Calvin). Also survived by a host of grandchildren, Great and great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, Herbert is also preceded in death by four brothers, Anderson, Jr., Joseph, Willie and Alton Booth; two sisters, Betty Booth Smith and Martha Booth Pugh; Son, Rodney Dukes and Grandson, Brandon McGee. Relatives and Friends; Pastor, Officers and Members of First Mount Calvary Baptist Church are invited to attend the service. A Funeral will be held at First Mount Calvary Baptist Church, 2919 Sixth Street on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 11 AM, Rev. Ulyess Landry, Officiating. Visitation 10 AM IN THE CHURCH.
