Herman J. SchoonoverSpring Hill, TNHerman J. Schoonover, 87, of Spring Hill, TN, passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2017, at Maury Regional Medical Center.Herman was born on December 22, 1929, in Arkansas, KS to the late D.L. Schoonover and Livisa Kenedy Schoonover.Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, June 16, 2017, at 9:00 a.m. at the Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel, with Pastor John Maitais officiating. Burial will be at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-West in Hopkinsville, KY. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 16, 2017, from 7:30 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.Herman was retired from TVA. He was a U.S. Army Veteran. He was a member of the Church of Christ, Lions Club, VFW, American Legion, and the 11th Airborne Association. He was a scout master for over 60 years.Herman is survived by his wife, Bernice Burkhart Schoonover of Spring Hill, TN; two sons, Richard (Evelyn) Schoonover of Ashland City, TN and Dennis (Sylvia) Schoonover of Thompsons Station, TN; two daughters, Karen Hart of Chandler, AZ and Lisa (Randy) Moyer of Spring Hill, TN; five grandchildren, Catherine Hart of Chandler, AZ, Felicia Beth (Matt) Ciaramitaro of Spring Hill, TN, Sara Schoonover of Ashland City, TN, Everett (Jessica) Stiles of Knoxville, TN, and Jaime (John) Vaughn of Tullahoma, TN; two great-grandchildren, Angelina Ciaramitaro and Matthew Ciaramitaro; and sister-in-law, Izola Schoonover of Kansas.Grandsons and Nephews will serve as pallbearers.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the , 4825 Trousdale Drive, Suite 220, Nashville, TN 37220.Arrangements entrusted to Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, 1510 Madison Street, Clarksville, TN 37040.
