Homer C. Turner (Charles) was born in Bluffton, Ga on February 23 ,1944 and moved to Dothan, Alabama at an early age. He departed this life on August 31, 2015 at Wilson Hospice House in Albany Ga. He was the wonderful son of Homer Lee Turner and Annie M. Turner (In Loving Memory). He received his education through Ashford Public Schools and graduated from Grimsley High School in Ashford, Al. After moving too Albany, Ga he joined the Oakridge Baptist Church where he remained a member until his death.
Throughout his life, Charles worked and dedicated his self to a number of careers. Charles was a loving and caring Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great- Grandfather. He was a family man that enjoyed his life through his children and grandchildren. He was a member of the Quartet group “Change of Hearts”. He was always full of life and had a golden voice that blessed anyone that heard him. Although he only had five children he was a father to many and had a sense of humor that was contagious to anyone. Charles loved fishing, bowling, playing Monopoly, and if you met him at a card table, \"I’m pretty sure he you left defeated.\"
Charles leaves to cherish his memories a beautiful wife and bestfriend of 40 years (Glenda Turner) five children: Charesse (Demetrius) Holsey, Sterling Turner, Taressa (Baldwin) Bryan, Katherine and Phyllis Turner. Two Sisters: Carrie Louise Myhand and Lessie B.Brooks (In Loving Memory). A host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, friends and relatives.
