Homer Mills Sr., 72, of Amelia, Ohio, passed peacefully on May 09, 2023 at his home. Homer was born on December 29, 1950.

Homer was well loved by many. He spent most of his younger years hunting rabbits and squakers (squirrels). And getting into shenanigans. Most of his older years, he spent loving on his wife, kids, his grandchildren and great grandchildren. And burning the tires off of his 68 Camaro.

Homer was a beloved husband to Jenny Mills, a loving father to Teri (Steve) Gilliam, Homer (Christy) Mills Jr., and Leesa (Jay) Keefe, a cherished grandfather to Latosha (Kyle) Risch, Amanda Gilliam, Cheyanne Barber, Makenzie (Max) Gibson, Justin Juilfs, Remington Juilfs, Destiny Barnes, Demi Mills, Lowell Gilliam lll, Kendal Newberry, and Bristol Newberry. He was also a proud great grandfather to Makayla Risch, Wyatt Barber and Nina Risch. Homer also has a nephew who was like a son to him, Craig (Sugar) Lynch and many nieces and nephews that he loved so dearly. Homer was preceded in death by his father Elige Mills and his mother Amanda Mills, sisters Betty Spurlock and Bonnie Lloyd. He is survived by his sisters Marlene (Gus) Lohrum, Darlene (Dave) Hamblin, and his loving family.

He loved his family and friends so fiercely. But mostly, he loved serving God. He loved Jesus with all his heart. And he loved spending time with his church family as well.

A memorial service to celebrate Homer's life will be held on May 20th from 3 to 5 at Olive Branch Missionary Baptist Church, 171 Mt. Holly Road, Amelia Ohio 45102. Homer will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

His family would like to do a pot luck. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking to bring a covered dish. Please reach out to a family member with any questions.
