Hope Ilene Locke HackerottSan Angelo Hope Ilene Locke Hackerott, 81, of San Angelo, passed away from this world to a better one on Sept. 16, 2017, in San Angelo, Texas.She was born on May 10, 1936, to Violet Viola (Vinsonhaler) and Twyford Locke in
Smith Co. Kasas, the first of four children. She spent her early years in Lebanon, Kansas, graduating from high school there in 1954. She met her husband, Marion, in high school and they were married July 22, 1956. To this union were born four daughters, Deborah Sue Watson and husband, Kelley, Rebecca Jean Lambert and husband Scott, Angela Fay Low and Toni Jill Byriel and husband Gary; and son David Henry Hackerott. Grandchildren are Jerry Watson and wife Christina, Patricia Wright and husband Chris, Victor Reyes and wife Ashley, Hope Martinez, Seth Low, Alison Hataway, and husband Cullen, Micah Kilgore and wife Katelyn , Lucas Kilgore, Jared Kilgore, Heather Myers and Anthony Hackerott and wife Diana and great-grandchildren Jordan, Kyler, Colby, Braden, Bryce, Nicholas, Shyla, Alex, Jacob, Aaliyah, Liam, Braxton and Azaylea.Before moving to San Angelo in 1977, the family lived in Smith Center, Kasas, Alva and Edmond Oklahoma. She went to work for GTE after moving to San Angelo, retiring in 1999. She was an active member of Community Hills and First Christian Church. She enjoyed reading, playing the piano and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents; and a niece, Micki Jo Locke.Survivors include her husband of 61 years and their five children; sister Twyla Arrington and husband Sam; and two brothers, Arden Locke and wife Anne and Tom Locke and wife Linda.Family visitation is from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2017, at Robert Massie Funeral Home. Memorial service is at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2017, First Christian Church with Rev. Ben G. Hubert officiating. Burial will take place in Fairmount Cemetery at a later date.Memorials are suggested to the San Angelo
