Horace Wesley RowanHorace Wesley Rowan, 80, died peacefully on November 9, 2015 with his family at his side. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Eva Bernice Rowan and his daughter Caroline Denice Cruse. He is survived by his wife Ruby Rowan; his son Wesley Rowan and wife Ann Marie; daughter Connie Rowan and son Eric Rowan and wife Tanya; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was born on March 3, 1935 in Leakey, Texas. He spent four years in the Marine Corp and moved to Lompoc, CA where he married Ruby in 1959. In 2005 he moved to Nampa, ID where he spent the remainder of his life. He was a devoted father who loved his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He loved to tell stories about growing up in the Texas Hill Country, writing and singing songs and watching sports, especially the LA Lakers. He will be missed by many. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 13 at the Christian Faith Center, 31 S. Midland Blvd in Nampa, in the original sanctuary. A viewing will be held from 6 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, November 12 at Zeyer Funeral Chapel, 83 N Midland Blvd in Nampa (467-7300). Burial will take place at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 17 at Idaho State Veterans Cemetery, 10100 Horseshoe Bend Rd, Boise. Condolences may be expressed at zeyerfuneralchapel.com.
