MeekAge: 70 • FishersvilleHouston Glenwood "Glenn" Meek, 70, husband of Carol (Cash) Meek of Fishersville passed away Friday, February 24, 2017 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.Mr. Meek was born on December 22, 1946 in Staunton, a son of the late William Glenwood and Minnie (Stockdale) Meek.Glenn was a lifelong member of the Fishersville United Methodist Church, member of the Fellowship Sunday School Class, and served in the
United States Navy. He graduated from Wilson Memorial High School in 1966 and was a member of the Fishersville Ruritan Club and the American Legion Post 340.In addition to his parents, Mr. Meek was preceded in death by an infant son, Mark Glenwood Meek. Surviving in addition to his wife, is a son, Christopher Glen Meek; a daughter, Wendi (Meek) Olli and her husband Scott; two grandchildren, Mya Lisa Meek and Cole Nathaniel Olli; two honorary grandchildren, April and Amber Harper; two brothers, Ray C. Meek and wife Judy and C. Eugene Meek and wife Sue Ann; and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 28, 2017 in the Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.A Celebration of life will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 1, 2017 in the Fishersville United Methodist Church by Pastor Charles Bates and Pastor Ryan Oswald.Burial will follow in Augusta Memorial Park.
