SUSSMAN, M.D., HOWARD FRANKLIN, passed away on May 1, 2017. He was born on April 5, 1937 to Minnie and Irving Sussman. After growing up in Brooklyn, New York, he moved to Miami Beach, Florida, where he met the love of his life, Sheila. Howard attended medical school at the University of Miami and became a renowned, board certified cardiologist and internist. He later served as a Lieutenant Colonel and medical doctor for the U.S. Army. After presiding as Chief of Staff and Chief of Cardiology at Parkway Hospital, he established a well-respected private practice where he continued to provide expert care until his final days. Adoring husband of Sheila; loving father of Marc, Todd, Lisa (husband-Warren); Beloved grandfather of Blake, Brooke, Jonathan, and Brian. Dear brother of the late Paul. He cherished his beloved pets. The family suggests donations in Memory of Dr. Howard Franklin Sussman to The www.donatenow.heart.org or Stray Aid and Rescue www.strayaid.org. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, May 7, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Beth David/ Levitt-Weinstein Chapel, 3201 N. 72nd Ave., Hollywood.
