Howard Thomas "Tom" Jeffrey, 85Eaton - Howard Thomas "Tom" Jeffrey, 85, passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2017, at his home, with his family by his side.Tom was born on August 20, 1931, in Muncie, Indiana to Howard and Rita Jeffrey.  He attended Muncie Schools and went on to serve his country in the Army National Guard.  On March 20, 1953, Tom married Mary Christine Love in Muncie.  Together they would have four children.Tom worked for Marhoefer Packing for over 20 years, he also cut meat for Albany Locker but his passion was farming.  For the past 18 years, Tom worked his farm where he raised registered Jersey cows. Tom was very active in Delta FFA Alumni and Indiana FFA Alumni.  He was a lifetime member of both.  He was also a member of the American Jersey Cattle Club.  Tom worked with the Delaware County 4H and would always sponsor the champion Hampshire Borrow.  Additionally, Tom helped with AgDays.He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Mary Chirstine Jeffrey,  his children, Sandy Russell (Glen), Randy Jeffrey, and Cindy Jeffrey, a brother, Bill Jeffrey, sister, Joann Stoker, four grandchildren: Chad Hart (Robin), Randall Jeffrey (Rolanda), Stephan Jeffrey (Jessica) and LeiLani Russell,  nine great-grandchildren:  Autumn Hart, Chad Hart Jr., Marranda Hart, Marilann Jeffrey, Enoch Jeffrey, Theodore Jeffrey, and Lilina Jeffrey, special friends: Don & Tina Bonner, Shane & Yelenna Shumate, Patty Kulman, Ryan Hann, Roxi, Abby, and Adam Poe. as well as several nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by a son, Tommy Ray Jeffrey.Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Thursday, March 9, 2017, at Pitman-Richman Funeral Home, 200 S. Hartford St., Eaton with Brian Waters officiating.  Burial with Military Funeral Honors by the Delaware County Veterans Honor Guard will follow the services at Black Cemetery, Albany.Visitation for family and friends will be from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m., on Wednesday, March 8, 2017.The family would like to thank the staff of Great Lakes Home Care and Great Lakes Hospice for their excellent and compassionate care.Memorial donations may be made in Tom's name to the Delaware County 4H, 100 W.
