Hugh Earl ChungHugh Earl Chung, 77 of Teaneck, NJ passed away on October 23, 2017. He was born on April 30, 1940 in Hope Bay, Portland, Jamaica to Lottie Cleopatra Laidley and William Ten Chung Loy. One of nine children, Earl began his career as an Accountant in Kingston, Jamaica before immigrating to the United States in 1968 where he worked for New England Petroleum. He settled in Teaneck, NJ in 1973.Beloved husband of 49 years to Maxine (Joy) Chung. Loving and devoted father of Hugh, Lauren and Kristen, daughter-in-law Shanna, and Max Bu'tt. Cherished grandfather to Austin and Mattea.Earl is predeceased by his parents, as well as by his brothers Melmouth, Larry, and Oswald, and his sister Fay. He is survived by his sisters Orinthia Nesbeth, Veda Gunter, and Jean Mason, and his brother Ewan Chung, as well as, many nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. Arrangements for the viewing are set for Sunday, October 29th from 3-7 PM at Volk Leber Funeral Home, 789 Teaneck Road, Teaneck, NJ. Visiting prior to his funeral service will take place on Monday, October 30th at 10-11 AM at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 118 Chadwick Avenue, Teaneck, NJ. Funeral service to begin at 11 AM.
