"Together Again" BRIGHAM CITY -- Ida Freeman Christensen, 89, passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2007, at the Ogden Regional Medical Center. She was born on Sept. 7, 1917 in Brigham City, Utah, a daughter of Harry and Effie Mae Tingey Freeman. Ida married Bert L. Christensen on April 5, 1942 in Brigham City, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Bert preceded her in death on Nov. 12, 2004. Ida was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she served as Mutual President, Relief Society Counselor, Librarian and Visiting Teacher. She also was a tour guide at the Brigham City Tabernacle and served a mission at the Ogden Temple. She had worked at Maddox, Alex's Café, Smith's Food, King Bakery, Brigham Cannery and Box Elder School District as a cook. Ida enjoyed traveling, crocheting, bowling, quilting, candy making, board games, cake decorating and spending time with her family, grandkids and great grandkids. She is survived by three sons, Robert W. (Karin) Christensen, Olympia, Wash., Brent F. (Jill) Christensen, Brigham City, Kevin (Jayne) Christensen, Providence; four daughters, DeAnne (Robert) Maxwell, Tacoma, Wash., LueJean Christensen, Brigham City, Kathy Kay Donais, Layton, Rae Lin (Richard) Wanner, Logan; 17 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren; one brother, Wayne Freeman, Rigby, Idaho, and one sister, Mae Moynier, Price, Utah. She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Donald Christensen. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 13, 2007 at the Brigham City 1st Ward, 506 South 200 East. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, at the Gillies Funeral Chapel, 634 East 200 South, Brigham City, Utah and from 10 to 10:40 a.m. on Tuesday at the church.
