Ilus Wood of Schererville, Indiana passed away on June 16, 2024 at the age of 94. He was born on September 18, 1929 to Ilus Claude Wood Sr. and Mildred Graves. Ilus is survived by his loving partner, Mary Catherine Liverman, and their four children: Lori (Wood) Trapp, Alex Ziady with spouse Barbara, Cathy (Ziady) Cahill, and Michael Reed.

Ilus had a fulfilling life, studying at Dyer Central High School and later serving in the Air Force as a Sergeant. After his military service, he worked as an Insurance Agent for AAA. In his free time, he enjoyed pursuing his hobby of being an aircraft pilot.

Ilus will be remembered fondly by his eight grandchildren and all who knew him. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
