STROH — Iona M. Walb, 76, of Stroh, Indiana, died Thursday, June 18, 2015, at her home. She had been ill for the last year. Mrs. Walb was born on November 17, 1938, in Elmira, Indiana, to Vern H. and Belle (Randol) Emerick. Living her lifetime in the Stroh area, she was a homemaker. On February 28, 1958, in Stroh, Indiana, she married James A. Walb; he preceded her in death on October 15, 2000. Surviving are two daughters, Deborah Walb of Stroh, Indiana, and Linda Lotfi of Stroh, Indiana; three grandchildren, Jaimie (Travis) Sleeper of Stroh, Indiana, Angela Lotfi of Phoenix, Arizona, and Anthony Lotfi of Brooklyn, New York; and two sisters and a brother-in-law, Marcella and Ernest Mason of LaGrange, Indiana, and Dixie Green of LaGrange, Indiana. Her parents and a brother, Danny Emerick, preceded her in death. Funeral services will take place on Monday, June 22, 2015, at 10 a.m. at Frurip-May Funeral Home, 309 W. Michigan St., LaGrange, Indiana, with the Rev. Rick Davis officiating. Burial will take place in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in rural LaGrange, Indiana. Visitation will take place on Sunday, June 21, 2015, from 2-5 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Parkview Home Health and Hospice.
