Sharp, Ione L.Ione L. Sharp, 88, Green Bay, passed away peacefully Saturday, April 29, 2017. She was born on July 24, 1928, in Green Bay to Edward and Leona (Reuter) Sharp. Ione graduated from Green Bay West High School with the Class of 1947. She attended the University of Wisconsin - Green Bay and NWTC. Ione then graduated from Sacred Heart School of Practical Nursing and passed her Wisconsin State Boards and began her life-fulfilling career.Ione enjoyed traveling with family and friends. The highlights of her trips were the excursions to the Holy Land and Hawaii. She also liked reading mysteries, working on the computer and watching TV - especially the Green Bay Packers. Her favorite saying was "Go Pack Go!"Ione's survivors include her sister-in-law, Judy K. Sharp, Green Bay; nephew, Steven P. Sharp, Milwaukee; niece, Elizabeth K. Sharp, Shorewood; great-nephew, Maxwell James Sharp-Curro and Jim Curro, Shorewood. She is also survived by her niece, Donna Specht-Covell, Mequon; and her children, Rene, Denise and Gregg; nephews, Roger Specht, his wife, Chris, and their children, Margo, Steve and Kelly, Rodney Specht and his wife, Rosie, and their children, Andrea, Jeffrey, and Eric; Richard Specht and his wife, Debbie.Ione was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Orville "Guy" Sharp; sister, Orpha D. Sharp-Specht; brother-in-law, Marvin Specht; and niece, Diane Specht-Wellens.Friends may call at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 341 Wilson Ave., from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday. The Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church. Entombment will be at the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum. Blaney Funeral Home is assisting the family.
