1918 - 2016Sent from my mobile. ___________________________________ __________________________ Obituary Irene Ann Szczesny Chesney gently passed away from Congestive Heart Failure, peacefully in the arms of her daughter, Regina on September 14, 2016, just 2 weeks before her 98 birthday.She was also with her grandson Adam who visited her twice a day to move her in and out of bed. First Born son Bob came immediately and youngest son Mark followed to say Our Father over Mom. This is just what she wanted and God was good to her. Regina, her caregiver was assisted by OC Hospice in her final year. She resided in Fountain Valley CA in Palm Island, a luxury Senior community, living with Regina and right next door to Bob. She enjoyed all the events there and loved chatting with others. Irene Ann was born on September 27, 1918, the 1st. daughter of Anna and Alex Maslowski. She married Anthony Szczesny and gave birth to 5 children. She is survived by her 4 remaining children: Robert , Douglas, Regina and Mark. 8 grandchildren; Scott Chesney, Gina Pizzolato, Michelle Szczesny, Michael Szczesny, Michael Pizzolato, Adam Pittard, Jessa Grant and Tony Chesney.13 great grandchildren; Alex, Christopher, and William Chesney. Allison, Madeline and Lauren Gusikoski. David Parigan and Elizabeth Snyder. Aaron and Olivia Szczesny, Aidan, Ashton and Addison Grant. 2 great great Grandaughter's; Lily Parigan and Allison Snyder. Irene donated her body to Research For Life where her fine mind is being used for a cure for Alzheimers. There was a memorial mass at St. John Neumann's at 5101 Alton in Irvine California on Saturday, November 5, 2016, for a noon mass followed by a celebration of life in Fountain Valley at Palm Island's Grand Palm room. She will be buried on April 15, 2017 in Niles Illinois, along with her beloved passed family members. An additional Chicago Celebration of Life will be at White Eagle's following the burial also in Niles Illinois.please join her family and rejoicing about the wonderful life of Irene Ann Chesney. Irene's one wish what is that everyone would continue to love each other as she had loved us.
