Irene Yankers AmabileLakewood TwpIrene Yankers Amabile passed away peacefully at home on Saturday June 24, 2017. Irene was born on December 11, 1936 in Jersey City, NJ. Irene worked in New York as an underwriter assistant for American Investors Insurance Company. She resided in Toms River, NJ until 2005 and moved to Lakewood Township to carry out the rest of her years. Irene was known for her big smile and her big heart. She attended The Church of Grace and Peace and taught in the Sunday School for seven years. Irene and her beloved husband John were known for their incredible dance moves and this was her passion. Irene was predeceased by her parents Steve and Irene Yankers, and by her older siblings Donald Yankers and Anita Yankers Lioi. She is survived by her beloved husband John Amabile, Sr., her daughter Irene Amabile Fisher and son-in-law Michael Fisher, her daughter Karen Amabile Russo, and her son John Amabile, Jr. and daughter-in-law Jennifer Trow Amabile. She is also survived by her five grandchildren, JT Kounelias, Justin Kounelias, Jacob Russo, Faith Amabile and Ava Amabile, her brother Steve Yankers and sister-in-law Jodi Yankers, and sister Joanne Maillaro and brother-in-law Jack Maillaro as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and extended family. Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend a celebration of Irene's life at The Church of Grace and Peace, 1563 Old Freehold Road, Toms River, NJ 08755 at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 14.
