Isabelle Verzwyvelt CataldieAlexandria - Isabelle Verzwyvelt Cataldie died Tuesday, September 19, 2017, in Covington, LA, where she lived. A longtime resident of Alexandria, Isabelle was born on June 17, 1937, to parents Jack and Hattie Verzwyvelt. The oldest of 14 children, Isabelle was a graduate of Bolton High School and worked at St. Frances Cabrini Hospital for almost 40 years. Isabelle had the gift of a green thumb and loved to spend time planting flowers. Isabelle was preceeded in death by her husband Louis A. Cataldie, Jr.; her parents; and her brothers Francis Verzwyvelt Jr., William Verzwyvelt, and David Verzwyvelt, Sr.She is survived by her children, Mary Cataldie Geno and husband Jeff, Hattie Cataldie, Katie Cataldie, and Frances Cataldie, and Louis Cataldie IV and wife Suzanne. Isabelle was blessed with seven grandchildren; Jeffrey Geno, Conner Morgan, Sam Travasos, Nick Cataldie, Kelly Geno, Max Cataldie, and Emily Geno. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters Bob Verzwyvelt, Florence Roberts, Jeanie McCown, Mary Chicola, Nancy LaPrairie, Thomas Verzwyvelt, Daniel Verzwyvelt, Katherine Verzwyvelt, Beverly Matte, and Lawrence Verzwyvelt.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 23rd at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church, with Rev. Dan O'Connor officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park under the direction of John Kramer & Son Funeral Home. Visitation will be Friday evening from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and will resume on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home. A recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held in the Kramer Chapel on Friday, at 7:00 p.m. led by Rev.
