Ismael "Izzy" Calderon Esparza, 66, passed away on July 8, 2017. He was born on June 17, 1951, in Ciudad Juarez, and was a life-long resident of El Paso. He was a retired business owner of Esparza Painting and LIMCO Painting. He was grateful for the opportunity in having owned his own business for 32 years and took great pride in his work. Ismael was a loving husband, doting father and proud grandfather. He had a warm and charming personality and had a talent for great storytelling. Everyone commented on his great sense of humor and his ability to constantly see the positive side in every situation. Ismael always provided help to anyone whenever they needed it and believed in helping those less fortunate. He is preceded in death by his parents, Maria De Los Angeles Calderon and David Esparza Marin, and step-mother, Guadalupe Esparza Urquiza. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Amelia Martinez Esparza, and daughters: Liliana Esparza, Iris Esparza Clark (Dalton), and Marisol Esparza Wofford (Jason). Grandchildren: Ivan Ismael, Jacobo, Victoria and Andrea. Sisters: Maria Antonieta Muruato, Rossana Esparza and Viridiana Esparza. Visitation will be at San Jose Funeral Home, 10950 Pellicano Dr., on Wednesday, July 12, 5-7pm; Rosary 7-9pm. Funeral Mass will be at El Buen Pastor Catholic Church, 311 Peyton, on Thursday, July 13, 11am. Graveside services will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, 12400 East Montana.
