Ivory Pitchford was born on March 26, 1930, to the union of Allie Beanland and Haverd Beanland in Sardis Mississippi. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Dave Pitchford Sr. Five sons: Chester Pitchford, Dave Pitchford, Jr., Michael Pitchford, Christopher Pitchford, and Aaron Pitchford. One granddaughter: Tiffany Pitchford. Four brothers: Robert Beanland, Haverd Beanland Jr., Franklin Beanland Sr., Moses Crumble Jr., three sisters: Francis Butler, Ida Robinson (twin), and Nancy Hunter. She was the second of 10 children.

Ivory received her education in Milwaukee Wisconsin and pursued a business for herself as a well-known seamstress. Ivory was known for her excellent talent in making quilts which she entered into many showcases and received first place. She also loved to sew clothes for her grandchildren family and friends. Ivory was also known for her delicious meals, popular homemade from scratch biscuits and peach preserves.

Ivory married the love of her life Dave Pitchford in 1950 and to this union five sons were born. The two were inseparable and together they created the perfect role model of what marriage and love are all about. You did not see one without the other!

Ivory was a devoted wife and mother, who loved her family and her grandchildren dearly. She was known by her family as Aunt (Ain't) Lit. She leaves to cherish in her loving memory nine grandchildren: Denise Pitchford, Chrisandra Pitchford-Hersh, Keyon Pitchford, Michael Johnson, Chris Pitchford, Christopher Pitchford Jr., Ce Chele’ Pitchford, Aaron Pitchford Sr., Adrieanna Pitchford. Ten great-grandchildren: Derek Wicks Sr., Keyona Pitchford, Kortnie Pitchford, Ashanique Pitchford, Ziah Thompson, Janiyua Pitchford, Noah Pitchford, Rheigan Pitchford, Alexander Hall, and Aaron Pitchford Jr. Four great-great grandchildren: Derek Wicks Jr., My'Racle Pitchford, My'rell Pitchford, and Saniya Vashaun. Two Sisters: Patricia Guillory (Mervin) and Rosalie Tatum, both from Los Angeles, CA, two brothers: James Crumble and Willie Beanland, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
