Joseph Farrel Egbert, 73, passed away suddenly at his home in Preston, Idaho, on Monday, May 26, 2014. He was born on Nov. 14, 1940, in Fairview, Idaho, to Milford John (Jack) and Elizabeth Allen Egbert. He married Linda Lee Johnson on Nov. 15, 1958, in Elko, Nevada. Farrel was a flooring contractor owning his own business. He was a great father and loved to be in the outdoors fishing and hunting. He enjoyed cooking and playing his guitar and singing. He grew a great garden and always enjoyed spending time with family camping. He loves the Lord and prayed often. Grandpa Egbert and Andy have gone fishing.He is survived by his wife, Linda, of Preston; his children Timothy Lee Egbert, Rae-Lin Egbert, Shelly Zapolski, Rex F. (Diane) Egbert, Laura Lee Egbert, and Carl J (Cristie) Egbert. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren as well as seven siblings, Blaine, Dennis, Ronnie, Val, Charlene Speth, Jack and Kathy. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Terryl, and a grandson, Andy Zapolski.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, May 30, at Webb Funeral Home, 1005 S. 800 East in Preston, Idaho.
