We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Ja’Kyran Watkins, born on September 6, 2007 in Evergreen, Alabama, United States. He was the beloved son of Kelvin Watkins (Jeanna Gillis) and Takisha Ingram(Johnny Holloway).

He accepted Christ at an early age and joined Second Mount Zion Baptist Church in Owassa, AL

Ja’Kyran passed away on September 28, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones. He leaves behind a grieving family and many friends who will miss him dearly.

Ja’Kyran was a student at Hillcrest High School where he would have graduated with the class of 2028. He had a passion for fishing, football and playing video games, which brought him great joy in life.

He leaves to mourn, his parents, grandparents Willie and Edna Ingram (whom he lived with) and siblings; six brothers Ah'Tavius, Jadarrin, NiLyerin Watkins Titus Northern all of Evergreen, Al Steven Gillis of Castlberry, AL Trey Salter of Troy Al; three sisters, Tamera, Ariel Salter and Diamond Gillis all of Castleberry,AL; Aunts Latonya Ingram Ypsilanti Michigan; Shanika Ingram of Atlanta Ga; Tamela Lampley(April Lockwood) of Birmingham AL; Tina Watkins( Franklin McCreary) Tiffany Watkins all of Belleville AL; uncles; Travis(Lacretia) Ingram of Tuscaloosa AL; Vincent Ingram, Gregory Watkins of Belleville AL, Tyrone(Miranda) Watkins of Monroeville AL, A HOST OF SPECIAL COUSINS Deondranyke Anderson, Tyekee Ingram, Tyekia Ingram, Ty'Quan Ingram, Xzavier Townsend, all of Ypsilanti MI, Sa'Niya Ingram of Atlanta GA, Brianna McCreary, LaDarius McCreary, Franklin McCreary all of Belleville AL, A very special friend whom was dear to his heart BriAsia Davis of Montgomery AL;

Although Ja’Kyran did not have any children of his own, he touched the lives of those around him with his kind heart and infectious smile. He will be remembered for his spirited personality and love for adventure.

Ja’Kyran's presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Rest in peace, Ja’Kyran Watkins. You will never be forgotten.
