Jacinta Fabian Reynoso passed at St. Barnabas Hospital early on Tuesday, August 27, 2019, and joined her husband, Jose Isabel Reynoso in heaven at the age of 84. Jacinta was born on August 17, 1935, in Monte Plata, Dominican Republic.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2019, at R.G. Ortiz Funeral Home located at 524 Southern Blvd, Bronx, NY from 3-8pm. Her final resting place will be in her home country (Dominican Republic) with her husband.
Jacinta migrated to the United States in 1969 and became an active member of the Christo Rey Church. Jacinta was a devoted mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, godmother, and friend. She served as a backbone to her family, hosting a yearly family reunion for 20 years and housing almost every family member to immigrate to the United States. Jacinta’s life calling was giving back to her community and helping those in need. As an active member of “Legion de Maria,” she had the distinct honor of serving as a minister of the Eucharist. Jacinta also served as an active member of the Spanish choir at the St. Patricks Cathedral Church. Her devotion to the Church and her community were recently honored in the form of the Proclamation “Madre Teresa de Culta Corona La Paz” award on June 23rd, 2019.
Jacinta is survived by her 2 daughters, Ana M. Reynoso Castro, Guillermina Reynoso, 5 sons, Cesar Reynoso, Jose A. Reynoso, Juan C. Reynoso, Ramon Reynoso, Hector A. Reynoso, 13 siblings, 23 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.
Jacinta will be grately missed by her family and friends.
