Anyone who knew Jack, have lost a shining light in their lives
Jack Alfred Walton died suddenly from leukemia on October 17, 2023, at NHS Nightingale Hospital.
He was born on the 11th of September in 2003, in the Tameside hospital Glossop. He moved a lot because of his father's job, starting his early years of schooling in Glossop, Mumbai and Beijing and then graduating his high school from Saint Andrews International School. Following graduation, Jack enrolled in the University of Amsterdam, where he would have studied sociology.
Jack had many interests, including gaming, travelling and singing. He had always been an athlete and played many sports growing up, but rugby always had a special space in his heart. He was really passionate about his rugby. In his high school he was the captain of the rugby team, where he won the best player award for two years in a row. After graduating, he played rugby for his local team in Glossop. Overall, he considered playing rugby with his friends as one of the biggest joys.
His parents, Sam and Toni, his sisters, Martha and Florence, and his brother Stanley survive him. His grandparents and cousins and his friends in Bangkok and Glossop will also miss him a lot.
Memorial services were held at Hathersage Memorial Hall on the 24th of October.
