Jack Chicon, 70, of Brawley passed away on Thursday, December 11, 2014. Jack was born on April, 7, 1944 in Brawely, CA. He attended Sacred Heart School and BUHS. He worked in the construction industry as a carpenter. Jack married Connie Ruelas at Sacred Heart Church in Brawley in August 1967. Jack loved to listen to rock-and-roll and was a die-hard Rams fan. He loved to cook for his family but most important of all, Jack was a prayer warrior. He prayed daily for his family, friends, and all who were in need. Jack was witty, entertaining, and a very supportive person He enjoyed spending time with his family and loved chatting with friends on the phone. His grandson was his pride and joy, he took care of him the first year of his life creating a loving bond between them. His grandson called him "Papa". He will forever be missed in our hearts. He is survived by his wife, Connie Chicon of Brawley, CA; daughter, Nancy Ubario (Danny) of West Covina, CA; grandson, Jack Daniel "JD" Ubario of West Covina, CA; brother, John Chicon Jr. of Lincoln, CA; brother, Lewis Chicon, Brawley, CA; aunt, Molly Avila (John) of Rocklin, CA. Visitation will be held on December 18, 2014 at 6 p.m. at Fry Chapel and Mortuary. Service will be held on Friday, December 19, 2014 at 9 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. Burial will immediately follow at Riverview Cemetery.
