Jack V. Gossett71, of Traverse City, MI, passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2017. He was born on November 20, 1945 in Anderson, IN, and the only child of Fred and Dorothy (Hannon) Gossett. After graduating from Xavier University, Jack received his medical degree from Indiana University Medical School. While in the United States Army he served in the 121 Army Evacuation Hospital in Seoul, South Korea and later stationed at Fort Bragg in North Carolina. Jack returned to Indiana to jointly begin his practice, Northside ENT in Indianapolis. Retiring after 27 years, he moved to northern Michigan to continue his outdoor love of cycling, cross country skiing, geology and spending time with family. Jack is survived by his wife of 48 years, Marnie; his daughters, Amy Boros (Mike) of Traverse City, MI, Carrie Hannigan (Jim) of Zionsville, IN; and four grandchildren, Maggie, Henry, Jimmy and Jack. A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 4 at 11:00 a.m. with a visitation held one hour prior at Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home in Traverse City, MI.
