Jackie D. HartleyClarksville, TNJackie Donald Hartley, age 82 of Clarksville, passed away Friday, February 10, 2017 surrounded by his family. A visitation will be held at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home on Monday, February 13, 2017 from 5-8 p.m.He will be laid to rest at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, MO with Rev. John Mark Thomas officiating.Jackie was born on March 2, 1932 in Gideon, MO to the late Guy and Ethel Moore Hartley. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Thelma and his brother, Herbert W. "Bud" Hartley. He married Thelma Thurston in 1955. He served in the
Army in Anchorage, Alaska and later Fort Campbell, KY. He and Thelma made their home in Clarksville, TN where they raised their family. He began working as a heavy equipment operator for Morgan Construction and later TVA Cumberland City Steam Plant where he retired. After retirement, he opened Hartley's Trailer Sales selling utility trailers for many years.He was a loving husband to Thelma for over 60 years and cared for her through her time of illness. He was a loving father to his children and grandchildren.Mr. Hartley is survived by his son, Kevin (Gayle) Hartley; daughter, Terri (Ralph) Everett; grandchildren, Ashlee D. (David) Wilson of Savannah, GA, Trevor (Lainy Kennedy) Hartley of Clarksville, Mitchell Everett of Charleston, SC, and Garrett Everett of Clarksville, TN.The family would like to thank AseraCare Hospice, Walking Horse Meadows, and caregivers, Alice Holiday, Sarah Turnley, and Delores Clements for their loving care and compassion provided throughout this trying time.
