KENDALLVILLE— Jacob Anthony Becker, 16, of Kendallville, passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2016. Jacob was born on September 20, 2000 in Kendallville, Indiana to Robert Becker and Lyska (Blackford) Handshoe. Jacob was a sophomore at East Noble High School. Survivors include: his mother, Lyska and Tim Handshoe of Garrett; his father, Robert and Amy Becker of Kendallville; three sisters, Sierra Payton of Columbia City, Brittany and Roy Calderon of Laredo, Texas, and Eleisha Miller of Waterloo; three brothers, Joshua Becker of Garrett, Tyler Wilcox of Kendallville, and Alex Wilcox of Kendallville; a niece, Athena Calderon of Laredo, Texas; a nephew, Xander Wilcox of Kendallville; his paternal grandmother, Penny Becker Slone of Kendallville; his paternal grandfather, Marion Becker of Kendallville; maternal grandparents, James and Sharon Blackford of Kendallville; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by: his paternal grandfather, John Gramling; his paternal step grandmother, Kathy (Kammerer) Becker; and his uncle, Michael Anthony "Tony" Blackford-Pierce. Visitation will be Wednesday from 1-7 p.m. at Hite Funeral Home in Kendallville. Funeral services will be Thursday, November 3, 2016 at 11 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church in Kendallville and officiated by Rev. Robert Shriner. There will be visitation an hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at Lake View Cemetery.
