Jacob Bradley Birzer, age 19, of Shawnee, KS. passed away on Monday, Dec. 12th, 2016 at his home. A visitation will be from 5-7pm Friday, Dec. 16th, with a Celebration of Jacob's life to begin at 7:00pm both at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home. Private interment of his cremated remains will be at a later date in the Bonner Springs Cemetery on his father's grave. Memorial contributions can be made to the Children's Mercy Hospital and mailed to the funeral home. Jacob was born on August 9th, 1997 in Overland Parks, Kansas. He grew up in Shawnee and was a 2015 graduate of Shawnee Mission North High School. Jacob enjoyed spending time outdoors whether it was Skateboarding, Hiking, Camping and Climbing. He was very passionate about Music, Drawing and had a very creative soul. Above all, he had a great sense of humor. Jacob was preceded in death by his father; MacArthur Von Birzer in 2014, Paternal Great-Grandparents Leo & Regina Birzer and Clifford Gallagher, Maternal Great- Grandparents Fred & Jane DeLaughter and Charles & Martha Reehl. Survivors include his mother Christie Birzer of the home, one brother Alexander Birzer of Lenexa, KS., Paternal Grandparents Matthew L. & Debe Birzer of Bonner Springs, KS., Maternal Grandparents Ron & Cindy DeLaughter of Lenexa, KS., Paternal Great-Grandmother Jeannine Gallagher of Bonner Springs, KS., five cousins; Katie, Nathan, Kira, Trenton and Skyler.
