JACQUELINE JEANNETTE HEEREN, 88 LANARK - Jacqueline Jeannette Heeren, 88 yrs. old, of Lanark passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2014 at The Good Samaritan Society in Mt Carroll. She was born on Oct. 3, 1925 near Rock Creek Township Lanark, the daughter of Jake and Evelyn (Koch) Sturtevant and was a 1944 Graduate of Lanark High School. She married Lloyd Heeren June 17, 1945 at Forreston. Jacqueline and her late husband operated a livestock farm south of Lanark for most of their lives. She was a member of the Lanark Church of The Brethren. Jacqueline enjoyed cooking and sharing food with family and friends. Surviving are two sons, Paul (Michelle) Heeren, Waterford, WI, Lee Heeren of Rockford, two daughters, Mary (Bruce) Bush of Dahinda, IL., Marcia Hammond of Geneseo, her Grandchildren, Greg (Johanna) Heeren of South Riding, VA., Tonya(Nathan) Wiersema of Chadwick, Tiffany Heeren of Chicago, Casey (Scott) Raley of Geneseo, Paige (Grant) Jobe of Des Moines, Scott (Misty) Bush of Columbia, MO., Ethan Bush of Rock Island, Morgan Heeren and Nathan Heeren of Waterford, WI., eight great-grandchildren, and one brother, Merle (Jean) Sturtevant of Lanark. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband; and one grandson, Joshua Heeren. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 17, 2014 at the Russell-Frank Funeral Home in Lanark with Pastor Mark Godfrey of the Lanark Church of the Brethren officiating. Burial will be in the Lanark Cemetery. Friends may call after 9 a.m. Thursday, at the funeral home until the time of service. A memorial has been established in her memory.
